Ivory diamond Beni Ourain rug under a coffee table in a Moroccan living room

A well-sized rug helps balance a room. Before choosing, measure your space and furniture layout with tape on the floor. The tips below are guidelines: adapt the size to your room and furniture.

Size guidelines

  • 60 × 90 cm (2' × 3'): small accent, entryway or bedside.
  • 90 × 150 cm (3' × 5'): entryway, short hallway or small reading nook.
  • 120 × 180 cm (4' × 6'): bedroom, office or small living area.
  • 150 × 240 cm (5' × 8'): compact living area or foot of the bed.
  • 180 × 270 cm (6' × 9'): medium living room, under the coffee table and the front legs of the sofa.
  • 240 × 300 cm (8' × 10') and up: large living room or large bedroom; measure carefully so the rug stays in proportion with the furniture.

Measure before you order

Mark out the rug size with painter’s tape or sheets of paper. Check the walking space around doors and furniture. In a living room, place the front legs of the sofa and armchairs on the rug if possible to tie the space together.

Sizes listed are the rug dimensions; slight variations may exist on a handmade piece. Torn between two sizes? Send the room dimensions and a photo on WhatsApp at +212 614 843 168 or email othmane.elamry@gmail.com. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
